Capa from Sunshine. An excellent movie, slightly strange, but that's what I like (and am like) anyway
You can expect a slight wave of Cillian Murphy paintings in my gallery, and if that annoys you, you can blame Brian Cox... Last year I was watching Stargazing Live, when Brian Cox mentioned something about being a consultant on Sunshine and I thought "I should watch that movie again." Which is probably not what the point of Stargazing Live was. And after watching Murphy in this I was forced to watch breakfast on Pluto again. I say forced, because I couldn't resist. It's one of my favourite films of all time... it's just gorgeous.
Anyway, you have been warned
The background is actually a stock photo by and you can find it here: The original background just wasn't working and no matter what I tried nothing seemed to really give it what I wanted, so I perused the great collection of stock on here, and just thought this worked really nicely
A meh day just became a incredibly stupendous one. Also I LOVE how you caught the golden highlights in his eyes and curving beside his nose; the surreal lighting in that movie is just beautiful and you caught it well
The lights weren't there in the screencap, but I'd painted the background first and then started on the face, and it just looked so good, that I kept the background 'shining through' and as you said, it suits the lighting in the film!
Oh goodness, Cillian Murphy! Those eyes! That hair! Those *cheekbones*!!! And you say we will get MORE Cillian?!
Why have I never heard of this movie, let alone seen it? This must be corrected!
I hope you don't get sick of comments like this, because I've had this page up for hours and got goosebumps every time I saw it. If you do get sick of these comments, just skip over all of mine, because most will be like this.
Just wanted to let you know that your art has been featured here [link]

Yes it should, it's a great sci-fi movie and if that's not enough, well you can still enjoy how gorgeous he looks in it
Hehe, no I don't, I love passionate commetns!
